And Jesus said, “Go ye therefore, and make disciples of all the nations, baptizing them into the name of the Father and of the Son and of the Holy Ghost.” (Matthew 28:19 ESV). So a call has come out of Kitale Kenya in Africa from the overseer of 22 independent Bible teaching churches for me to come and teach them, preach the Word and do evangelistic work. God is good! God is Amazing! There is another brother in Christ that I met with today who has committed to going with me. He is very knowledgable of the Word so he will be a huge help. God willing a pastor will accompany us to assist with the teaching of God’s Word but if not thenwe will do the work of the ministry that God has called us to. We will be going to conduct our Bible Conference and meetings for 7 days and nights so all totaled with air fare and our doing the conference we will be gone for about 12 days.
Starting tomorrow the leaders and members of the 22 churches are going to begin praying “mighty prayers to God” and fasting…that God will open the door, prepare the way and provide financially to make it possible for us to go to Kenya. The burden of the people and their spiritual need weighs heavy on my heart now as God has laid it there.
As far as my health that is related to my 2 brain tumors – with the new medications I am taking I am finally getting my old self back and feeling better and better every day and week gaining my strength and mental/cognitive function. So, for that I praise the Lord. I am not yet at 100% but I am getting there. It is because I am feeling much improved that we are going to make this trip that the Kingdom of God be advanced, that the saints be taught and edified and built up in the faith and that good will be done to all men and women – especially those of the household of faith.
Prayer Needs: That God would provide…
- Prayer for wisdom and physical/emotional strength
- For the spiritual needs of the people we are going to minister to in Kenya
- Being able to get a passport and all legal travel documents secured
- For the cost of the trip (airfare, hotel, meals ect)
