It is not:
- The Skills, Gifts, Abilities or Talent of the Preacher
- The Appearance of the Preacher (The preacher being handsome or well dressed)
- Funny Stories and Anecdotes
- Theatrics (Hollering, Crying or Sobbing or other such behaviors)
- Beautiful Music and Singing
- Props and Masterfully Produced Productions
that will cause a person to be saved. Though many of such things are not wrong and can be used by God to enhance what happens when the Gospel is preached they WILL NOT ever cause a single soul to repent of their sin and reject it and choose to follow Jesus Christ as their Lord and Savior. What leads a person to Biblical Salvation is a pure and bold preaching of the Gospel, (preaching the Gospel of Christ) – regardless of the skills, talent, gifts or abilities of the preacher or Bible teacher. The salvation of a soul in no way depends on the will or desire of the preacher. It is God and HIS work, by the power of His Holy Spirit, working in and through the life of a fully surrendered preacher/servant of the Lord that causes people to respond appropriately to the Gospel.
I am just a simple ordinary man with 2 brain tumors, a failing memory and severe cognitive impairment, a Bi-Polar Manic Condition as well as a newly developed Hypothyroid condition. But I love my Lord and enjoy sharing his Gospel and Word with others and what is mind boggling to me is that God blesses the preaching of his Word through me. It has nothing to do with me or about me. I do not boast in any way concerning myself or any talent or skill I might have. If I have any reason to glory and boast it is in the Lord and so in him I do make my boast. I am writing this to encourage you who read my blog and are everyday ordinary people with any kind of limitations that God can and will use you if you obey him. It’s really quite simple. Just obey God, pray, share his Word, don’t worry about the results and God will surely bless. And bless he does.
I hope you are encouraged by my post.
