“Love never fails…”I Corinthians 13:8
“Love never fails.” Pause and think of that for a moment. “Love never fails.”
You think about that statement for a moment and then maybe you think to yourself that your husband, wife, your children, your friends or your employer has failed you. And they said they loved you or cared about you and would never let you down. Well, they did not have AGAPE love in their hearts for AGAPE (God‘s) love never fails. NEVER! And unlike people who will fail you, hurt you, and desert you…God will never leave you nor forsake you. And he will ALWAYS love you. God may hate your sin and your rebellion against him but God will always LOVE YOU! God sure hated my sin, rebellion and wickedness…but he NEVER stopped loving me. And it was his love that caused me to turn to him and accept his gracious and free offer of salvation which has forever transformed my thinking and my life.
True love…unselfish Christ like love never fails. No never. And yes, God did say that and he means it and I know it is true.
Our challenge today is to live and walk in God’s love…in AGAPE love and to give as well as to experience that kind of unfailing unconditional love…a love that never fails and always satisfies.
