Genesis 1:1-2:1 Did God create the heavens and the earth?

(vs 1). “In the beginning God created the heavens and the earth.” Genesis 1:1

In Genesis 1: 1-2:1, it states that God created and completed the heavens and the earth in 6 days.

I have a few questions that I would like to pose as a result of what is written in these verses?

(1). Who created God? When did God first begin to exist?

(2). In Genesis it is written that God created the heavans and the earth and “all their vast array,” (Genesis 2:1), in 6 days. Does the Word of God mean that God created everything in 6 literal days?

(3). How did God create the heavans and the earth?

(3). How long ago did God create the heavens and the earth? Anotherwards, how old is the earth and all of creation?

I have always been taught that God created the heavens and the earth in 6 literal days. What do you think? Did God create the heavens and the earth in 6 literal days or does the word “days” refer to specific periods of time rather than actual days?

I welcome your response to these questions. Please respond to harold@haroldsays.com.
